Instagram Will Test Hiding ‘Likes’ in the US Starting Next Week
Instagram has been Testing hides the like count on posts since April. This test began in Canada and extended to six more countries which come to Brazil, Australia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, and New Zealand. And Now Instagram is Expanding this Test to the US Country.

And this Instagram Update came through the WIRED25 conference where Instagram head Adam Mosseri shared that this test will begin in the US country and Starting in the Next Week and some users may their like counts to vanish from public view.
You Can see the below count will still be visible to users post, but others won’t be able to see it.

What is the purpose behind this Instagram Update?
There is a motive behind this hiding the like counts from the posts, Instagram wants your “Instagram followers to focus on your post what you share in public, not how many likes you get on your posts.”
By hiding the like counts from the posts, Instagram wants “your followers to focus on what you share, not how many likes your posts get.” With this update, the user will be a stress-free, anxiety-free environment on social media.
